Sugar

Sugar is full of a product known as glycolic acid that people spend a fortune on, purchasing products and treatments containing this due to its benefits of decreasing fine lines and wrinkles by resurfacing dead skin cells. When added to a natural oil such as grapeseed or olive oil it makes a fantastic exfoliant with the added nourishment for dry skin from the oil.

 

Oatmeal

A gentle exfoliant for sensitive skin. Oatmeal works best when whole oats are ground and water is added to a paste. An additional benefit of oatmeal is it absorbs oil therefore can be used as a multi purpose cleanser and exfoliator.

 

Sea salt

The granules are large and coarse and so when mixed with oil are perfect for a deep exfoliation and for larger areas of the body, even preparing your body before a fake tan.

 

Fresh ground Coffee

Caffeine is known to decrease puffiness around the eyes and can be used to remove dead skin cells at the same time. You can use fresh or those that you have already brewed.

 

Ground Almonds

Almond powder is chemical free and nutrient rich method of exfoliating. When added to a small amount of water, almond powder will leave the skin feeling soft without leaving residue behind.
